Common questions regarding the Acoustic Play Editor.
What is the difference between APE and VoiceSupport 2?
Both VoiceSupport 2 and APE support managing preset lists and firmware updates to the device. APE also supports editing individual presets and changing parameters, and can change presets, activate HIT, and more from MIDI commands.
Will it be supported?
Since this is a private free-time project it will have very limited support, but I will try my best to make sure the application is working — and may even respond to feature requests.
Are there any fees?
No license fees or any additional costs. Try it, and if you like it and make use of it you can buy me a coffee within the app.
Does it run on Android or iOS devices?
Not yet. I'll try to port it once the Windows and macOS versions are stable.
Will it work on other VoiceLive products?
No, not at this moment. I may look into similar devices like the Play Electric in the future.
Does the Play Acoustic support MIDI?
Yes, it sends a few MIDI commands and you can update the device with settings through MIDI SysEx commands. All communication is over USB.
